WGO Podcast Culbertson Edition #1 – with Uncle Gene Hill
The What’s Goin’ On? Podcast is back! In this season, we’re looking at the Culbertson Tract “Partial Settlement” vote being proposed by the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte Band Council. This vote, which needs only 25% of MBQ members to participate in, could see the Culbertson Tract land being taken out of the protections of the Simcoe Deed and turned into fee simple land owned by Canada and operated under the Indian Act.
In our first episode, we sit down for a talk with Uncle Gene Hill, a member of the Bear Clan living in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
