The Onkwehon:we connection with Ecuador

AKWESASNE – Mohawk elder Kanasaraken (aka Loran Thompson) recently spoke to Real Peoples Media about his visit to Ecuador to see the devastation in the Amazonian rainforest caused by Chevron. Kanasaraken has been part of developing relationships between the Deyodyohkwahnhasta movement and peoples movements in Ecuador. In this interview Kanasaraken stressed the importance of developing indigenous to indigenous relationships with the original peoples of the south and the significance of the Anti-Chevron campaign.
