The following photos were taken near the #1492landbacklane reclamation across the road from Kanonhstaton, near Caledonia and on the Haldimand Tract deeded to the Mohawks and such others of the Six Nations. The OPP came marching in with guns drawn
The OPP raids the #1492landbacklane camp on August 5, 2020. There have been reports of Onkwehon:we people shot with rubber bullets. It was estimated by one eyewitness that there were at least 100 OPP officers deployed. At least 6 arrests have been reported.
They made arrests at the site and came with guns drawn
Just like in 2006, the OPP were escorted back out
Highway 6, Bypass, and Rail shut down
Looking just like 2006, a tire fire burns on Highway 6 outside of Caledonia. Argyle Street is blocked. The highway 6 bypass is also closed until further notice. The trains running through Six Nations were stopped too.
The Hwy 6 Bypass is shut down. After the raid, roads and rail were shut down. Excavator burns on the night of August 5th.
