Six Nations Small Business Support
A new vendors market specializing in Indigenous crafts has opened up at Hwy 54 at Chiefswood Rd.
SIX NATIONS – Are you looking for ways to do away with the quarantine blues? Do you have a few extra dollars to start some self-care retail therapy, or want to get the jump on the gifting giving season? Nothing beats the smell of Indian tacos and looking at beadwork, woodwork or people watching on a warm end of summer weekend!
For most, pow-wow season was a virtual experience this summer and it just didn’t quite meet that community spirit of visiting. But a small and socially distanced friendly event has just popped up over the last week.
A variety of vendors set up on Hwy 54 at Chiefswood road (in the field next to Lee’s Variety) in Six Nations of the Grand River territory to showcase some homegrown talent.
From essential oils to calm your soul, to classic beadwork to add to next year’s regalia, This artisan and food one-stop-shop fits the bill. Don’t worry if you missed out this weekend because it is a doubleheader and will be back next weekend, September 19, from 10 am-7 pm.
Keep your eyes on Real People’s Media, cause we’ll be doing a livestream on location!
