Gary Wassaykeesic – Telling our stories
TORONTO – Gary Wassaykeesic is a survivor of the Canadian residential school system and a long time activist working for justice for Indigenous people. In this interview he talks about his initiative to document the stories of Indigenous people surviving Canadian colonialism.
Gary is currently working to raise the resources necessary to fund his project. His first objective is to get an iPad that he can use to begin recording and uploading the stories from grassroots indigenous peoples.
