Onkwehon:we say no to Niagara Reinforcement Line

SIX NATIONS – Rhonda Martin and Colleen Davis provide an update on what happened and why the people are standing up to demand that SNEC consult with their Chiefs and Clan mothers.

On April 29th, 2019, over 50 grassroots supporters of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy Chief’s Council (HCCC) gathered to block the entrance to the Niagra Reinforcement Line. The people were standing up in opposition to the Six Nations Elected Council’s (SNEC) unilateral plans to restart work on the project which had been halted since the 2006 reclamation of Kanonhstaton/Douglas Creek Estates in nearby Caledonia.
